Reviews help skaters choose the right session. Every review is checked by our team before it's published.
Good reviews
- Describe a session you actually went to.
- Say who it suits: beginners, families, confident skaters.
- Mention the floor, music, crowd, hire skates and staff.
- Are honest, including the not-so-good bits, said kindly.
We won't publish reviews that
- Include abuse, discrimination or personal attacks.
- Make accusations without describing what happened.
- Share other people's personal details or photos of children.
- Are written by the organiser, their staff or a competitor.
- Advertise something else.
Suggesting how-to videos
Every suggested video is watched by our team before it appears on the Learn page. We add videos that:
- Teach a skating skill, or cover safety, gear or skate care.
- Are public on YouTube, and suitable for all ages.
- Are matched to the right level, so beginners aren't sent to advanced tricks.
- Show safe practice, such as protective gear for beginners and stunts.
We won't add videos that are mainly adverts, show children without clear consent, or encourage unsafe skating. Videos stay on YouTube: if the creator removes a video, it disappears from SkaterLocator too.
Have a problem you'd rather raise privately? Use Private feedback on the session page and we'll pass it straight to the organiser.
Sharing photos and videos
Photos and short videos from a session help other skaters see the venue, the floor and the vibe. Our team checks every one before it appears. Please only share:
- Your own photos and videos, taken at that session.
- The rink, the lights, the skating and the atmosphere, rather than close-ups of other people.
- People who can be clearly recognised only if they’re happy to be shared publicly.
- Children only with their parent or carer’s permission, and never as the main focus. We’ll remove anything where a child can be clearly identified without it.
We won’t add anything unsafe, offensive, misleading or that’s mainly advertising. If you’re in a photo or video and want it removed, email hello@skaterlocator.com with the session name, and we’ll take it down.
