Last updated: 15-10-2026. These terms apply to everyone who uses or comes into contact with SkaterLocator, including skaters browsing sessions, people leaving reviews or private feedback, and organisations or individuals listing sessions and events. SkaterLocator is run by Usable Media Limited (“we”, “us”; see section 12). By using SkaterLocator, you agree to these terms.
1. About SkaterLocator
SkaterLocator is an independent app for members and supporters of the skate community. It helps people find roller skating sessions and decide which ones to attend.
How it started
SkaterLocator started with me, a parent, scouring what felt like a hundred different websites and drop-down pages, trying to work out which roller discos were on which night. More often than not, I’d find out I’d missed one. Or we’d turn up to find it was oversubscribed, and I’d be kicking myself for not booking ahead.
At first it was just a pile of links saved in my bookmarks. That helped a bit, but it still took ages: clicking through every page and trying to hold all the times, days and locations in my head. On top of all the venues, I had a whole list of YouTube videos saved too, for all the moves I wanted to practise.
Then my skating friends started asking me. What night is it on? How much is it? Where is it? Is it any good? And I’d spend ages copying and pasting answers into all my WhatsApp groups. (Yes, we all know that problem.)
So, to save myself some time, I’ve opened up this web app so everyone else can use it too. My hope is that it helps build a community of people sharing their experiences, so others can decide where and when to go.
All I ask is that we keep it positive, and remember to be kind.
2. Where our information comes from
SkaterLocator only uses information that is publicly available, or that organisers and skaters choose to submit to us. We do not create original event information. If the original source contains inaccuracies or errors, these may be reflected in the SkaterLocator database until they are corrected.
Session times, prices, availability and other details are set by the organisers and venues, not by SkaterLocator. Always check the details with the organiser before you travel.
3. Keeping content accurate
We aim to check content on SkaterLocator every 30 days.
If you spot inaccurate information, tap “Something not right? Request a change to this listing” on the session’s page, or email hello@skaterlocator.com with the subject line “content error” and a clear explanation of the changes that need to be made. We check every request before it goes live, and will make changes as soon as possible, and within 30 days.
4. Bookings, payments and adverts
SkaterLocator does not sell tickets or take payments. When you book a session, you book directly with the organiser, on their own website or booking service, and their terms apply to that booking. Any questions about bookings, refunds or cancellations should go to the organiser.
Some pages show adverts and affiliate links, always labelled “Ad”. If you buy something through an affiliate link, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Purchases are made with the retailer, whose own terms apply, and the retailer is responsible for its products and delivery.
5. Organisations listing sessions and events
- You must have the right to list the session, and the details you provide must be accurate and kept up to date.
- You must confirm your email address. Every listing, and any important change to a live listing, is checked by our team before it is published.
- We may edit, decline, unpublish or remove any listing at our discretion.
6. People leaving reviews and feedback
- Reviews must describe your own genuine experience of a session.
- You must confirm your email address. Every review is checked by our team before it is published, in line with our review guidelines.
- Private feedback is passed to the organiser and is never published.
- We may decline, unpublish or remove any review at our discretion.
7. Clear and respectful communication
SkaterLocator is built on publicly available information and the community’s contributions, and we ask that all communication with us, with organisers and with other skaters is clear and respectful. SkaterLocator reserves the right to delete and report any communication that does not meet these standards.
8. Removing your data
If you would like your data to be completely removed from our database, please email hello@skaterlocator.com with the subject line “please delete my data”. We promise to respond within 30 days. You can read more about how we handle your details in our privacy notice.
9. Skating safely
Roller skating carries a risk of injury. Each session is run by its organiser, who is responsible for safety at their event. Please skate within your ability and follow the organiser’s and venue’s rules.
10. Our responsibility
We work hard to keep SkaterLocator accurate and available, but we provide it “as is” and cannot guarantee that every detail is correct or that the service will always be available. To the extent allowed by law, SkaterLocator is not responsible for losses arising from sessions, bookings or information provided by third parties. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under UK law.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last changed.
